AeroFinn

Almost every manufacturer of combustion engines all over the world are dealing with the same problem, namely with emission and polution of combustion engines. Therefore manufacturers have been urged to develop cleaner engines. Particularly the upgrading of the Euronorm makes it possible for manufacturers to figure out some solutions to reduce combustion temperature. One solution for example is to reduce exhaust gas of the engine better know as the EGR Technique. (Exhaust gas recirculation).

The EGR Technique is aimed at reducing NOx, but brings whit it pollution, resulting in large carbon deposit, on the innerside of the engine. These carbon deposits will be caused by a laminar flow increases this deposit layer by layer and by which eventually the engine will be built up with sediment. Because of this, consumption and emissions will strongly increase.

More often garages have to deal with this persistent pollution. The carbon deposits are so persistent that even the gear valves of the inlet system break off resulting in a large debris. This even happens with cars about one and a half years old and which only drive 50.000 kilometres.Read more >>
If we look at the SCR Technique then we are talking about adding urea to the exhaust gas. This technique will also be used on trucks. The technique ensures that the NOx shall be reduced. A great disadvantage of the SCR Technique is that most of the time the urea will be turned into the poisonous substance ammonnia.
On the basis of aviation and space travel techniques TCE has developed the AeroFinn. The AeroFinn turns laminar flows into circular flows. Because of this the engine will be better filled with air and at least between 40% and 80% more air will be drawn into the engine. More air means less fuel, less emissions and more power.
The AeroFinn will be placed into the air intake of the combustion engine. The purpose of the AeroFinn there will be to add more air into the cylinders and the air will be mixed better with the fuel. The engines will be kept clean of internal pollution, such as soot, by the vorticity. This results in a complete combustion which takes place in the cylinder. A complete combustion means:
- more power
- less CO2 emissions
- less NOx emissions
- less exhaust gasses
- less maintenance
- cleaner exhaust
- fuel savings
Detailed test results and users experience shows that in practice there will be more power and fuel will be saved. Currently there are around four thousand vehicles which been converted in the Netherlands.
Patently savings between 5% and 30%.
